Neverest at Tattoo Rock Parlour – 11/05/2011

Now then, don’t take ‘boy band’ as a negative! This four-piece all male ensemble aren’t wearing matching outfits and rocking dance moves, they’re mixing R&B undertones with catchy hooks and performing everything to a tee. Their song ‘About Us’ took over Canadian radio early this year following by ‘Everything’, which was an obvious crowd pleaser. The band even brought one lucky fan on stage during the last half of ‘Everything’ leaving other girls in the audience obviously jealous of their selection. Their too short set, clocking in around 30-minutes of actual performance time, was padded with an end-of-tour prank having four boxes of pizza delivered on stage and calling upon Alyssa Reid to pay the delivery girl. Kitsch aside, Neverest are certain to be infiltrating the radio again soon with their new single ‘The Chase’ and will certainly been hitting back with new material soon.

Pairing Neverest alongside Alyssa Reid for a national tour was a match made in heaven. Where Alyssa Reid is becoming a pop darling girls look up to, Neverest are becoming a modern day Canadian boy band that young females are falling over.
