Bad Religion, Plague Vendor, The Penske File at the Phoenix Concert Theatre

Bad Religion rolled through Toronto on Saturday night and proved that even though they may be older, they are still intelligently pissed off at the world and on top of their game. The band dove deep into their 16-studio album discography, treating fans to songs such as “Fuck Armageddon, This Is Hell”, “Sorrow”, “You” and “Henchman”. Fans also had the chance to listen to some newer songs such as “Fuck You”, which comes off of the band’s latest album True North. I was a bit surprised at how tame the crowd was at the beginning of the performance, but once the older hits began to come out, that’s when the crowd surfers began to fly.

What I thought was neat was that Bad Religion was able to stay relevant through the generations. As you looked around the venue you saw a great mix of people raising their firsts in the air as they passionately sang along with the band. Needless to say, Bad Religion has by far earned their spot as one of the most influential punk bands, and hopefully they will continue to influence and inspire more generations to come.
