Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Over the last couple of years, Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask has become one of my beauty staples. I had originally picked up the pink one which was in their signature berry scent. My lips tends to be pretty sensitive, I cannot use the chapstick or EOS brands as they tend to dry my lips out and cause a burning sensation (which is a bummer because I LOVE chapstick’s cherry scent but have yet to find a dupe for it. If anyone knows another brand that has a cherry lip balm that smells similar, please let me know). Thankfully this is not an issue with the Lip Sleeping Mask. The balm itself is smooth and buttery, and when you apply it to your lips it isn’t sticky. You’re supposed to put this on before going to bed, but I also love putting some on in the morning when I wake up as well and sometimes through out the day. It always leaves my lips soft and plump.

The best part about these is that a little goes a long way. I’ve barely made a dent in the first one that I purchased and really didn’t need to add any more into the mix, but I’ve always been a sucker for having a variety of flavours. Along with the original berry, I’ve also picked up the Choco Mint, Apple Lime, and Gummy Bear.

The only down side to these is that I wish there was a way to make them more portable and easier to apply on the go. The balms come with a little silicone spatula to apply the product, but you can’t really take it around with you as you need to clean it after every use and then let it dry. Laneige does offer these in a squeezable gloss form, but I was very disappointed in it as the formula is no where near as nice as the ones in the jar. I also found the squeezable ones to dry out my lips, so I ended up returning it.
