Hopping Into Spring with Lush

With the weather finally starting to warm up, Lush has released a bright and fruity line to celebrate the arrival of Spring and Mother’s Day. I was on the fence about some of these, but I’m really glad that I decided to check them out in store first, as I left the store with 3 items that weren’t initially on my radar.

First up we have Yummy Custard Body Wash. This is the first body wash that I’ve tried from Lush, as I usually reach for the shower gels and jellies. The texture of this is pretty thick in the jar, which I assumed would have been moisturizing. But despite the texture it rinsed right off and was like it was never there. In some ways that’s probably a good thing because then you’d probably be left with a very slippery shower which isn’t safe, but it would have been nice to have some kind of moisturizing effect. Scent wise, this is fantastic! It really does smell like vanilla pastries and it lingers for hours, which I really enjoyed.

Atom Heart Mother is an apple scented bath bomb that leaves the water a gorgeous shade of pink with a lot of sparkles. The scent is very crisp and reminds me of one of my favourite bath bombs, So White.

Closing out my mini Lush haul with Gummy Bear Shower Jelly. With the warm weather quickly approaching, now is the perfect time for some frozen shower jellies. I love tossing these in the freezer until I’m ready to use them and then cooling down with it in a hot shower, it’s just so refreshing. Gummy Bear has a deliciously sweet mango scent, I can’t think of any other word to describe it apart from juicy. I honestly wish there were more products with this scent. Gummy Bear also left my skin feeling really soft and the scent lasted for quite a while along with filling my bathroom.

All in all, I’m really happy with the Spring line, and I’ll probably be grabbing more of Atom Heart Mother and Gummy Bear before they disappear.
