L.S. Dunes have treated fans to another stand-alone single for the summer entitled, Old Wounds. The hauntingly beautiful Old Wounds, along with the previously released psyche-metal workout, Benadryl Subreddit were both recorded in April at renowned studio Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California with producer by Alex Newport (Mars Volta, Frank Turner, and City & Colour). The new tracks follow the release of their landmark debut album, 2022’s Past Lives.
Guitarist, Frank Iero, shared through a press release: “Old Wounds was a song that Travis brought to the band a while back, in getting ready for the upcoming desert session, Anthony came back around to it and ended up singing an incredible melody over it. After hearing Anthony’s voice on that song, it was pretty obvious what needed to be played over those existing melodies. Old Wounds definitely feels like it represents the cold nights out in the desert for me and it might be one of my favorite songs we have done as a band.”
