Tony Bennett at Blackcreek Festival 2011

And after all those years what were we graced with? An Energetic Tony Bennett with a powerful voice, impeccable singing technique, and characteristic stage movements. He as was elegant and stylish as ever. As always Tony actively interacts with the public and they love him for it. Unfortunately the performance was cut short due to weather and lightning. Though we were all hoping to hear him sing “singing in the rain” it will have to wait for another time.

The Second performer of the night at the Black Creek Summer Music Festival was, keep a breath, Tony Bennett (born Anthony Dominick Benedetto).

His first number one song was “Because of You” in 1951.

After 60 years on stage Bennett has won fifteen Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, been named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy Center Honoree and has sold over 50 million records worldwide.  His lastest release was Tony Bennett Duets 2 and boasts stars like Andrea Bocelly, Michael Buble, Mariah Carrey, Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow, Aretha Franklin, Josh Groban.
