How long have you been with Live in Limbo and what do you do for the site?

I’ve been writing and dabbling in concert photography with Live in Limbo for 5 years now.

What were your three favourite albums of 2016?

1. Arkells – Morning Report

What was the most underrated album of 2016?

Nick Jonas’ Last Year Was Complicated

A bit of pop and a bit of R&B made for some outright jams that didn’t get the recognition they deserved.

What were your three favourite songs of 2016?

1. Fire Escape – Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness

In your opinion, what was the biggest music story?

The Taylor Swift/Kanye West feud was fascinating to me. Two polarizing musical figures duking it out in a public forum aren’t usually so interesting, but the debate touched upon so many facets like creativity, women’s rights, social media, and well, manners.

What band did you see live for the first time that really impressed you?

Oh Wonder was the first show I saw in 2016 and they blew me away. Their live chops are impressive, not to mention their stage set-up is outright dreamy.

Who were you disappointed to miss seeing live this year?

The 1975 – twice! You think I would have learned from my mistake

What was your favourite review or photo set you did for LiL this year?

Nick Carter at The Phoenix
