Having released an impressive 25 EPs/singles at 27 years old, Rob Jennings has the depth of a seasoned songwriter, but an outlook of a young musician finding his way. “Shamed” is his most innovative and mysterious track to date. Jennings plays every instrument on the album except drums, which are played by long-time friend Chris Badami (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Interscope Records). Angelic string roll over a street beat and Jennings’ gentle voice, which come together to envelop the listener with truly captivating songwriting.
From the artist : “I was in a dark place when I wrote this song a couple years ago. It’s basically about short term relationships and how awkward and embarrassing they can be. It’s about being frustrated that you’re not getting through to someone as much as you want to and owning up to your own mistakes and flaws as well. I also love trippy/psychedelic music, and I’ve always wanted to make something in that vein. I never had any doubts about including this track on the album even though it’s kind of different compared to most of the other songs.”
