The Trews with Hermitage Green at the Danforth Music Hall

The Civilianaires Tour is winding down after 2 months being on the road crossing the country, performing to many sold out venues. The Toronto Danforth Music Hall was no different.

Music fans enjoyed a massive set list of 25 songs, including uber popular songs like So She’s Leaving, Not Ready To Go and Paranoid Freak.

Opening act Hermitage Green joined the Trews on stage midway through the show to sing Ishmael & Maggie. Bassist Jack Syperek switched from bass to ukelele as they all huddled infront of one mic stand.

Next was a surprise guest appearance from none other then Serena Ryder. I wasn’t expecting it, all though I wasn’t surprised by it either since vocalist Colin MacDonald and her are a couple. They sang a lovely duet of In the Morning.

Guitarist John – Angus MacDonald did a guitar solo that would take him all the way to the venues balcony. Lucky fans got to stand next to him and he shredded those strings.

The Encore was an interesting mix of songs. It started with Highway of Heroes and ended with Colin wearing a hoodie performing Hold Me In Your Arms meshed with The Beasty Boys cover Sabotage.

I have seen the Trews on multiple occasions, and they always put on a great show. This was no exception.
