Loversteeth Share Their New Single “Closer To The Sun”

Hamilton and Montréal based Loversteeth return with their new single, Closer to the Sun. The four-piece group blends the aggression of modern metal core and alternative metal with lush, brooding atmospheres of post-rock on their latest track. Compared to their previous work, Closer to the Sun is more rage and riff driven than it is drama drenched or effect soaked and has an evil-sounding chorus to match. It also marks the first time in the group’s history that they collectively worked on a song together.

“This song is about the hypocrisy of religious zealots and the negative effects that their institutionalized religions have upon outsiders,” share the band. “Preaching love while oppressing same sex love is as harmful as the legislation that mandates the choices a person has over their body.”
