Maroon 5 at Molson Amphitheatre – August 22, 2011

Up until August 22nd, Toronto had been deprived of Maroon 5 since the release of their third album ‘Hands All Over’. They opened up the evening with their new catchy radio single ‘Moves Like Jagger’, sending everyone in the crowd from the lawn to the stage up onto their feet and moving.

The amphitheatre was packed with middle aged adults who were mostly there to enjoy the tunes of Train, but none the less rocked out to Adam Levine’s hypnotizing vocals through out the Maroon 5 set. Levine dubbed ‘Won’t Go Home Without You’ as one of his favourite tracks the band has ever written. This made it impossible for the crowd not to sing their hearts out to the bands’ mellow song. The way Levine man-handled his guitar made females in the audience young and old swoon and hope for more guitar solos. With a set packed with some new songs, but mostly old, the band had the crowd singing along with almost every word, happily reliving the days of the bands arrival into the music scene with their album‘Songs About Jane’.
