Cirstea defeats Li at Rogers Cup 2013

Romanian Sorana Cirstea continued her 2013 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank Cinderella story on Saturday afternoon as she defeated No. 4 seed Li Na to advance into the final.
After Cirstea dominated the first set, Li came back strong and took an early lead in the second set. But Cirstea’s strong performance never wavered as she was able to break back and held two match points at the 6-5 mark. But Li was able to save both to send the duel into a second-set tiebreaker, and when she quickly went up 4-1 it seemed as though the 2012 Rogers Cup finalist was back on track. But Cirstea was able to shake off her nerves as she erased the deficit to take the 6-1, 7-6 victory.
