Allen Stone, Bad Rabbits at The Phoenix Concert Theatre

Allen Stone played Toronto at the Phoenix with the helps with Bad Rabbits on Tuesday, October 14th

Bad Rabbits opened the show with their danceable tunes, showing true hustle of touring having paid off.  They’ve been on the scene for a while now and have perfected their live show.

Playing songs both albums plus the new single “Better Days”, it took a minute to have the Toronto crowd warm up to them.  In the end, their set left the audience wanting more, even a chant of “one more song” was happening at the end of the set.

Once BR warmed up the crowd, Allen Stone took the stage.  With cheers filling the Phoenix, he swayed across the stage effortlessly singing each song.  It didn’t take long to understand how he’s drawn in such popularity.  His soulful voice echoed throughout the venue, as Toronto stood memorized by such talent.  The audience yelled out in the beginning of each song, as if each was their favourites.

It seemed to be something magically forming in front of our eyes as Stone played.  He told the crowd that since we were all friends now, that it was only right that they call him Al, instead of Allen.  He made you feel as if in the short time of an hour and a half, you had made a new friend in Al.

Don’t be surprised to hear more from Allen Stone.
