Wild Nothing at The Opera House

Converse is a company that’s proven time and time again now that it knows what it’s doing with corporate sponsorships. Its Rubber Tracks series in one such perk of their efforts in marketing toward music fans. The shows put buzz-worthy bands in front of crowds – and all the consumer has to do is grab a free ticket when they go up online.

They’ve certainly had success with the program. A recent one-off show by English rock band Blur saw them pack an intimate venue in New York for a rare stateside performance by the band. Toronto, too, has been equally as lucky with recent offerings from Viet Cong and a recent collaboration between BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah. All this is to say: it’s a good time to be a live music fan thanks to the investment companies like Converse are willing to put in.

Recently at The Opera House, Virginia’s Wild Nothing showed up for a last-minute free show – previewing new tracks from a still in-progress album.
