If you’re anything like me, you spent all summer with The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” constantly playing in your head. It was basically inescapable. Now, the hometown star bring the song (plus the rest of Beauty Behind The Madness’ offerings) to two nights at the Air Canada Centre. Madness, indeed.

As part of Converse Rubber Tracks Live, The Orwells head out on a mini-tour of shows that includes a stop at Toronto’s Opera House. It’ll be fun but more importantly it’ll be free – so you really don’t have an excuse not to go.

Touring in support of October 2015’s All We Need, the American hip hop meets soul singer turned heads on Colbert earlier but first caught my attention in his 2014 via his Wonder Where We Land collaborations with SBTRKT. He’ll be playing bigger stages soon enough, so see him at Adelaide Hall while you still can.

We’ve seen Texas’ Alejandro Rose-Garcia steadily play bigger stages in this city and – as more and more people have come to appreciate his talent – it’s brought him to one of the nicest venues in the city for a sold out show. Given the level of his talent, it’s definitely well deserved.

Good luck finding ticket information on this one. This Phoenix Concert Theatre date is listed on the American rapper’s website but the link leads to a dead end. Hopefully people figure it out and show up: he was definitely a rap highlight at NXNE earlier this summer.

Everything from Stockholm is instantly cooler and this electro-pop group is no exception to the rule. They’ll be starting their tour in Toronto, playing a show at the Drake Hotel just a few days after releasing debut album One.

You’re probably doing something right if you’re getting love from the likes of Urban Outfitters and Nylon. With single “Electric Love” sounding every bit the glimmery indie pop your headphones need, expect this sold out show to be packed full of excitable teens. (I’m not sure that’s a good thing, but I’m confidant it’ll be a great show.)

The National and Menomena walk into a bar… I can’t wait until I come up with a punch line to finish off that sentence. Until that day comes, Matt Berninger and Brent Knopf have teamed up for EL VY. In support of debut Return to the Moon, they’ll continue to capture all of our collective indie rock loving hearts.

This (soon-to-be) 21-year-old Las Vegas artist put out one of the best singles last year (“On the Regular”). While I’m still heartbroken that I missed him at Bestival earlier this summer, I’m happy he’ll be back for a proper headlining show at the Mod Club.

I kept saying Grimes was going to have a big year and, with the release of new video “Flesh without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream” and the announcement of November 6 album Art Angels, I guess that statement wasn’t completely off-the-rails. PHEW.
