Looks like we’ve all been on the Nice List this year! We’re so glad that Radiohead released this today. Apparently this was supposed to be the opening theme song for 007: Spectre. But things somehow fell through to Sam Smith.
Thom Yorke writes via SoundCloud:
Last year we were asked to write a theme tune for the Bond movie Spectre.
Yes we were. It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much.
As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it.
Merry Christmas. May the force be with you.
To be completely honest, this record is beautiful and would have been the best James Bond theme song ever.
