Gravity is the first single off of DeerGod’s debut album, entitled Self Deprecator, out on September 9, 2016. The release will be accompanied by a tour spanning Ontario and the northern United States (dates listed below). Pre-sale packages are now available through the Martian Machine Records webstore.
Consisting of Evan Moore (guitars, vocals) and Chris Scott (drums), as well as a revolving group of bass players, the band has recently supported the likes of Insane Clown Posse and fellow Toronto band Soupcans.
Formed in 2014 after the dissolution of Experimental Synth-Rock group Squid Man Stan, DeerGod has been compared to a range of Grunge, Punk, and Experimental acts including Fucked Up and Drive Like Jehu. The album, recorded over several months at Studio 39 in Oshawa, ON, will be released in Canada by Martian Machine Records, and in the United States as well as online by Staten Island, NY-based 718 Records.
