Concert Reviews

Passenger with The Paper Kites at Rebel

Last time I saw Passenger he was opening up for Ed Sheeran and I remember he was selling his CD’s out of his suitcase. Let’s just say a lot has changed since then. His show at REBEL featured a 16 song set playing songs old and new, some with a full live band, some just him and his guitar. Throughout the set, Mike shared the stories behind the songs and about the people he met while busking in different parts of the world. During the last song “Scare Away The Dark” he had the whole crowd singing along until he walked off stage at the end of the set. The crowd actually brought him back for the encore by continuing to sing the song instead of the usual clapping and encore shouting. It was a very interesting concert moment.
