From The Artist : My new single, “Someday,” is about finding the inner strength to leave a relationship where you were taken for granted, and knowing that someday the other person will have deep regrets for letting you go.
It’s about knowing your worth, recognizing the type of love you deserve, and finding closure in your own happiness.
I produced the song with Robbie Townsend and Randor Lin at Velveteen Audio. It was the most fun I’ve had recording a song so far – we used a box of children’s toys to record a lot of the background percussion and a couple of my friends joined me to record group vocals for the chorus.
“Someday” is about that moment of knowing that you’re going to be alright.
Canadian born margø has always been captivated by music and its ability to provide a common ground for people of all backgrounds. From an early age, she had always wanted to create honest music with the intention of empowering those who listen to her words. This shines through in her work – songs filled with themes of self-worth, fearlessness and power.
margø’s new single “Someday” is a building anthemic pop track, utilizing swooning ukulele melodies to set up the infectious melodic core of the song. There’s a familiarity that draws the listener in, but margø’s personality-driven vocals separate her from the pack. Both contemplative and sunny, ‘Someday’ balances a modern pop foundation with a strong message, catapulting the listeners’ expectations with layers of deep understanding.
