GlamGlow’s Instamud 60 Second Pore Refining Mask

I remember when I first saw Elizavecca’s Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask go viral for making your face puff up like the puppets in the Canadian PSA about not putting house hold cleaners into your mouth – I was intrigued, but at the time it wasn’t easily accessible and then I kind of forgot about it. Then one day I discovered GlamGlow’s Instamud 60 Second Pore Refining Mask while on the Sephora site and instantly put one into my cart when I realized it was a carbonated mud mask.

Instamud can be used for all skin types, and is supposed to instantly refine your pores and help even out your skin tone while leaving your skin smooth and soft after only one minute.

To apply it, you simply just clean and dry your face then add a thin layer of the lavender coloured clay. Once the mask is on, you will instantly start seeing it work it’s magic as it begins to bubble on your face. It’s supposed to tingle, but I honestly hated the sensation. It didn’t burn, but it made my face feel itchy and the 60-second wait felt like an eternity. After your minute is up, you simply just use a washcloth to wash the mask off with some lukewarm water.

Overall, I did notice an improvement in my pores, my face also felt very smooth and soft after my initial use. It’s also a plus that you can do this mask in just 60 seconds, as most GlamGlow masks I’ve used in the past needed +20 minutes to fully dry before rinsing. But I’m not sure if I can get over the itchy sensation of the carbonation, I’ll probably stick to carving out the time to do one of their regular treatments instead.
