2021 Lush Halloween Haul

It’s that time of year again, where Lush releases a bunch of spooky offerings for all of the boys and ghouls wanting to celebrate Halloween. This year contained a lot of major changes. For one, Lord of Misrule had a complete makeover! The bath bomb had been green for years, but this year came back looking reminiscent of a jester, and fan favourite Monsters Ball didn’t make the cut. But on the flipside, this meant that there was room for a lot of new products that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on. Here is a small haul of things that I picked up on my latest trip to my local Lush.

Trick or Treat Lip Scrub

Lime is my absolute favourite scent, so I knew I had to pick up this lip scrub when I found out it was supposed to be sour lime. It reminds me a lot like lime flavoured Lifesavers, and it’s more sweet than sour. My only complaint is that I wished the fragrance was stronger. The one I picked up is very faint.

Bat Art

Bat Art was my favourite new release from last year’s line, and I’m so glad it came back again. This citrusy bath bomb leaves your water a stunning deep purple with a lot of glitter.

Ghostie

I went into the store thinking I’d just be loading up on Bat Art since Monsters Ball didn’t make a comeback, but as soon as I saw Ghostie, I just knew one of them would be coming home with me. The scent is a bright citrus that really perks you up. I couldn’t wait to get home to pop this in the tub and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful bath art. There was streaks of blue, pink and purple through out the tub, crackling popping candy, and at the end of the show, the water was a beautiful lilac. I’ll definitely be picking a few more of these up before the end of the season.

Screamo Bubble Blower

Not a fan of the almond-cherry scent. It smells exactly like the S’cream bath oil that was released in the Lush Kitchen a couple years ago. Usually I love almond-cherry scented things, but this one comes off a bit plastic-y and sort of like cherry scented playdoh.

Monster Octopus Shower Jelly

Monster Octopus has a sweet passionfruit scent with vanilla and blackcurrant notes. It’s a great scent, and this is also the first time Lush has released a shower jelly in a fun shape. A quick note with the shower jellies : you can freeze them and take them out of the freezer right before your shower for a cooling sensation. That’s by far my favourite way to use these!

Tingle Body Conditioner

Not a Halloween item, but I picked this up thinking it was peppermint-scented cream. Turns out it was body conditioner, a product I’ve never heard of before. You basically dampen your skin, rub some of the conditioner on, leave it for 2 minutes and then rinse it off. At first I loved it; the scent is really refreshing, my skin felt soft and smooth, plus it had a really strong cooling sensation when you got out of the shower. It’s perfect for a hot summer night. But after 1 week of daily use, I started breaking out all over… So now I’m stuck with a conditioner that I love but can’t use.

Aloe Bamboo

The sugar cleanser rolls are new to Lush North America, and they are an exfoliator to help scrub away the dead skin on your face. I haven’t had the chance to use mine yet, but I’m excited to try it out.

If you’re looking to pick up some things from Lush’s 2021 Halloween line, I’d definitely recommend getting the bath bombs as they were spectacular and both of them left my skin smelling citrusy for hours after I got out of the tub.
