Junko Daydream is a heavy band from Canada, encompassing elements of post-hardcore, emo, shoegaze and nu-metal. Their latest single, “A House That God Built,” was recorded with Scott Middleton of Cancer Bats. The band’s melodic verses are juxtaposed by a heavy, cathartic chorus. A full-out wall of sound that engulfs the listener to represent the overwhelm of the song’s lyrics through the electrified closing section.
The band has opened for acts such as Single Mothers, Dead Tired, The Number 12 Looks Like You, God Mother, and Public Animal.
From The Artist : I’ve been trying to write my lyrics to the listeners very honestly lately and this song is a shining example of that philosophy. This song was truly a cathartic experience for me to get down on paper and I hope anyone listening that has a similar experience can feel less alone. Remember, you are not defined by the events that happen to you, only by your response to them. – Jack Dove
