World Premiere

Song Premiere : “Swim Away” – Josiah Mann

Josiah Mann is the Missouri-based singer/songwriter who’s finally making his musical aspirations a reality. Josiah grew up playing piano and singing on his church worship team while teaching himself classical music. In his late teens and early 20s, he found himself writing love songs, which led to the creation of his debut album, Grace, out in 2023.

Josiah’s music is a blend of heartfelt, introspective lyrics driven by melodic guitar and piano themes. His new single, “Swim Away,” captures love ending. He sings “So I fall to my knees and beg you to stay/ But I know that it’s over, there’s no other way/ If I could gather my strength/ I would swim far away/ for the tide is arising with each passing day.” The indie pop song speaks on breaking up with someone even if you don’t want to because it’s the best option for both parties. The song has a Coldplay meets OneRepublic sound with the heavy piano and upbeat ballad structure.
“I’m a piano-first artist and the piano theme that runs through ‘Swim Away’ has always been one of my favorite melodies,” shares Josiah. “I also love how the interplaying themes of the piano and electric guitar contrast the swelling strings. One of my favorite parts of recording this song was working with live strings to bring out the emotional content I thought the song called for.”
“Swim Away” is part of Grace, the 10 song album with a rose-colored view of romance and the world. Every song explores the bright-eyed optimism of a young love, and the heartbreak and introspection of a failed relationship.

From The Artist : “‘Swim Away’ was one of the first ‘hits’ I had in my fledgling music career nearly 20 years ago. I never released it publicly but I had the cool experience of hearing friends of friends blaring it out their car window a couple weeks after sharing a demo.”
