Avril Jensen Announces show celebrating the one-year anniversary of her debut album at the Drake Underground

In celebration of the one-year anniversary of her acclaimed debut album Is Any of This Real?, 22-year-old singer-songwriter Avril Jensen is set to perform a special headline show at The Drake Underground on March 27, 2026. The duo frank (Lauryn Kovacs, Ley Vara) will be opening the show. The setlist will be in French and English and will include the best songs of her repertoire with a focus on the album ‘Is Any Of This Real?’. This intimate performance marks a full-circle moment for the emerging artist, whose distinctive blend of electro-acoustic textures and bilingual storytelling has earned her growing recognition across Quebec and beyond.

“It’s so exciting to be playing in a city for the first time — such a surreal feeling! I love this album with all my heart, and every opportunity I get to play it live is a gift. I can’t wait to meet my Toronto listeners and go crazy with them on stage.” – Avril Jensen

Originally released in October 2024, Is Any of This Real? is a deeply personal and introspective full-length debut that invites listeners into Avril’s world with sensitivity and emotional honesty. Just one year later, she unveiled her first French-language EP, Parfois, les jours de vent — a poetic and immersive project that further cemented her talent for crafting vivid musical narratives across languages and genres.

Avril’s sound sits at the intersection of acoustic and electro-pop, enriched by her fluency in both French and English. Her songs often emerge from a place of curiosity — about art, astronomy, culture, and the intricacies of human experience — resulting in storytelling that feels both intimate and expansive.

Born and raised between Montreal, North Hatley, and Sherbrooke, Avril began writing music at the age of six and formed her first band in elementary school. Rooted in a background that spans classical violin training and DIY indie ethos, her musical vision is as thoughtful as it is genre-defying.
