Punch-Out!!!

By: Justin Arthur

Nintendo is has brought back a classic. Nintendo presents Punch-Out!!! for the Nintendo Wii. The game is straight forward from the original where you play as Little Mac boxing your way to boxing glory. The gameplay is same from the previous one: parry and punch to win a bout. To reach the championship bout, you must go through 3 different classes of opponents each holding 4 bruisers to defeat giving the total of opponents 13, 1 secret character, and within the total a new character called Disco Kid. The original characters are back such as Bald Bull and King Hippo but Dragon Chan didn’t make the list. The modes for Punch Out!!! are: Career mode, Exhibition where you defeat opponents under special conditions, and Head-to-Head. Controls can be used in 2 ways: the Wii remote with the nun chuck or turn the Wii remote on its side which I recommend if you want to beat the game. Also, you can use the Wii balance board ducking and dodging motions but isn’t efficient.

Punch Out is a great game and I recommend it for everyone. For the die-hard fans, prepare to be a bit disappointed due to missing original characters.
