After months of hiding away when the Jonas Brothers’ split, Nick Jonas has finally reemerged with a new vibe, catchy tunes and even a brand new TV show. I showed up about 45 minutes before doors had open in the hopes of getting a good spot to shoot the show from, only to find that I was not early enough. For a Monday night at Lee’s, I wasn’t expecting approximately 3 blocks worth of fans standing in front of me… But then again, growing up during the Jonas Mania – I should have known better.
Nick’s new songs are not something you would expect from the Jonas Brothers. In a recent interview with Flaunt Magazine, he described his new material as ‘songs people can listen to when they’re pissed off.’ And then continued to say ‘I think that’s the beautiful thing about music: that in those moments, you hear it and it elevates the scenario.’ You have to admit, it’s pretty awesome to see how he has grown and matured as an artists over the years. As he kicked off his sold out show, fans had the chance to experience his upcoming album as he performed ‘Jealous’ and ‘Numb’.
Though he has grown up, one thing is still very clear: Nick Jonas still has a way to captivate and mesmerize the crowd – no matter what the age group is.
