PREVIEW : Mamby On The Beach

Good news for fans of beachside festivals, and let’s be honest who isn’t, Mamby on the Beach festival is returning to Chicago for its second year with a stellar lineup that’s going to have electronic, dance and pop music fans dancing away the Fourth of July weekend.

Taking place along Oakwood Beach, the lineup features a wide range of genres and music fans will be able to be sure that there’s an artist there that they’ll enjoy and most definitely discover new music. Being a two day festival, it’ll be less exhausting compared to the likes of the larger fests like the four-day Lollapalooza, which is a welcome change.

Saturday’s headliners include electronic duo Milky Chance, experimental pop act Animal Collective, and Atmosphere for fans of hip hop, as well as other artists such as Tycho, Lany, and Chicago locals Wild Belle.

Sunday’s lineup is just as packed as Saturday’s, with solo electronic artist Chet Faker, the always energetic Santigold, and Chrome who always put on a dance party taking the top billings. The day also features Lupe Fiasco, Mayer Hawthorne, and Betty Who.

Along with the music the festival will also feature various daily activities for attendees to partake in, such as wellness workshops, fire performances, tarot card and palm readings, and of course beach-friendly games. Chicago-area food vendors will also be present on-site at the all-new The Picnic food court.

For those that can’t get enough of the festivities on the beach, Mamby just announced a series of afterparties that will keep the party going way after the sun comes down, for those that can’t get enough of the fest itself. You can catch DJ sets from a variety of electronic artists at venues across the city taking place Thursday through Sunday, and the events feature acts such as Chromeo, Mayer Hawthorne, Hannah Wants and Thomas Jack.

Make sure you see all of these amazing acts on the beach by getting your tickets here!
