Vacations is a chill indie band from Newcastle, Australia. Band members include Campbell Burns, Jake Johnson, Nate Delizzotti, and Joseph Van.

This week, I chose the song “Home” off of their most recent album, “Vibes”. This song is so relatable to coping with the Winter Blues and is basically about being stuck at home, and how easily it can bum you out. I love the lyricism- “I’ve got nowhere to be but home” “Life moves so slow when you’re at home” “Wish I wasn’t so lazy, its no worries – I’ve got nowhere to be but home”. Im definitely feeling some Mac Demarco inspiration in terms of the guitar riffs, but the vocals are incredibly unique and he has a really great voice
