Just in time for the country’s 150th birthday, Reeperbahn Festival chose Canada as their 2017 feature country. In addition to the great Canadian talent we checked out at the pre-festival showcase in Berlin and the Reeperbahn Festival train, a variety of Canadian artists performed at Kukuun, which was transformed into the ‘Canada House’ for the duration of the festival.

In addition, Toronto band, The Fast Romantics, were one of eight nominees for the prestigious Anchor Award, for best newcomer international musician performing at the festival. Emily Haines, of Broken Social Scene and Metric fame, also served as a juror for the award.
