Thirty Seconds To Mars kicked off their Monolith Tour at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto.
In support of their new album America, MARS performed an array of new songs such as ‘Dangerous Night’, ‘Hail To The Victor’, and ‘Rescue Me’. In addition to the new songs, they made sure to cover all the fan favourites as they played ‘Up In The Air’, ‘This Is War’, and ‘Do Or Die’. One extra special treat was to see that ‘The Kill’ had been added to the setlist as a full band song. Prior to this, MARS only had it included acoustically for the last couple of years.
Something to note is that Jared Leto is one hell of a front man. From the moment he hit the stage until the time he exited, he managed to keep fans on their toes as he ran around the stage constantly engaging them. He even brought some lucky fans up on stage to dance with him as he introduced ‘Do Or Die’.
When the night came to a close, Leto invited even more fans onto the stage as the band performed their hit ‘Closer To The Edge’.
