Video Premiere : “Now I Don’t Mind” – Catchfiyah

Catchfiyah is a Canadian electronic duo based out of Toronto, Ontario. The group consists of Lauren Barnett and Demetrios Petsalakis. Blending world beats with house and EDM, they weave social commentary with creative storytelling and hypnotic rhythms. In 2019, Catchfiyah released their first self-titled EP. Today, Catchfiyah will also be releasing their second EP titled, Price to Pay, which features their new single ‘Now I Don’t Mind’. From The Artist : Our new single “Now I Don’t Mind” is about standing up for yourself by taking ownership of your choices, regardless of how others may feel about them. It’s available now in conjunction with the release of our second EP, Price to Pay. “Now I Don’t Mind” tells the story of a time when I felt trapped into saying ‘yes’ and I came to the realization that I have the power within me to say ‘no’. For the video, we had the opportunity to work with Taiowa Butenschoen who used projections and 3D animation to capture the energy of the music.
