Video Premiere : “Me Now” – Happy To Be Here

Happy To Be Here debut their infectious new video for “Me Now,” out today. The follow up to the single that has been garnering acclaim from fans and critics alike, the group take center stage on the bold visualizer. The powerhouse four-piece from Los Angeles immediately portrays their courageous message of hope, healing, and rebirth.

Consisting of key members Greyson Grimes (Vocalist, Songwriter), and James Hamilton (Co-Conspirator, Collaborator), their music is loud, captivating and drives their message home. The track is co-written by the two and features Grimes expressive vocals and storytelling tendencies.

Multi-platinum producer Mikal Blue and Dean Dinning, producer, composer, and bassist for Toad The Wet Sprocket, were behind the board at Revolver Recordings for the “Me Now” sessions. Formulating a colossal rhythm section, drummer Cole Walker and bassist Alex Mospanyuk provide a thunderous foundation for the hard-edged guitar grit and the poignant regret that shades Greyson Grimes’ transcendent vocals.

Right from the beginning they hold absolutely nothing back. The theme of “Me Now” comes alive as the artfully illustrated, narrative video presents the band performing against a skyscraper backdrop of downtown Los Angeles, crosscut with a sobering narrative depicting a dreamlike overdose. Grimes and Hamilton both share a hard-won sobriety. The video is gorgeously crafted from start to finish, with intriguing imagery that you will not soon forget. Layer upon layer intermingle to create this vast web of different textures to get completely and utterly lost within.

The song and video combined proves to be a standout piece of work, showing off Happy To Be Here’s ability to craft a fine universe. “Me Now” features an uncanny amount of undeniable talent for Happy To Be Here delivers a fiery, epic sound that comes straight from the heart. Catch the video, out today.

From The Artist
: “We’re happy to be on this side of the dirt and create – and do the only thing we were ever supposed to do,” says Hamilton. Echoes Grimes, “I always struggled with the darkness of the world and the light. Our message is one of relatability, that you are not alone. People who come to our shows are people like us.”
