Beloved Canadian indie rock quartet Jane’s Party celebrate the season with new single and video, “The Little Drum Machine Boy”. A modern reimagining of the Christmas classic, the track blends strings and bells, with catchy drum machines and synths, creating an irresistible holiday anthem.
Jane’s Party vocalist and guitarist Tom Ionescu shared, “With this holiday song, I wanted to add to the Christmas lore. One character that stood out to me as needing some extra attention and a revamp was the Little Drummer Boy. I’ve really been getting into old drum machines and exploring ways to include them into the songs we write and produce. With our attention on all this drum machine stuff, I thought maybe the modern re-telling of ‘The Little Drummer Boy’ would be ‘The Little Drum Machine Boy’. The rest of the concept fell into place quite fast!”
The Band is also thrilled to announce their partnership with the Community Music Schools of Toronto (CMST) through the Community Band Program, which aims to empower young musicians by providing them with hands-on mentorship and professional guidance. As part of this collaboration, the band will offer guest workshops, mentorship opportunities, and a $1,000 annual donation to support CMST’s mission of enriching the lives of students through music education.
