Melbourne’s The Gloom In The Corner are rapidly approaching the release of their third full-length album, Royal Discordance, due out February 27 via SharpTone Records. Today, they unveil the video for the rollicking new single “You Didn’t Like Me Then (You Won’t Like Me Now).”
Balancing palpitating urgency with sweeping choruses, fiery guitars, and swooning melodies, “You Didn’t Like Me Then (You Won’t Like Me Now)” is the rambunctious lovechild of My Chemical Romance in a DnD campaign, showcasing both The Gloom In The Corner’s dazzling dexterity along with an empowering lyrical spine.
“You Didn’t Like Me Then is not just about accepting one’s self, but also embracing it, regardless of what other people think,” the band explains of their latest single. “Not everyone is going to like you or accept you, and that’s totally okay — you don’t have to like them either.”
