Yung Gravy Returns With “HBO,” Soundtracking A Twisted Summer Escape

Multi-platinum viral hip-hop artist, songwriter, entrepreneur, and humanitarian Yung Gravy, returns with his newest single and music video, “HBO”. Marking a new chapter for Gravy with focus on elevated production, sharper storytelling, and a more cinematic visual lens, “HBO” marks his first release of 2026 previewing what’s to come following yesterday’s announcement of his new global recordings agreement with BMG.

With “HBO,” Gravy delivers a fluid, shape-shifting record that never settles into just one lane. The track opens with a bold, tongue-in-cheek interpolation of Chief Keef’s “Faneto” before giving way to a brighter, more euphoric, dance-driven momentum – then effortlessly glides between the two. The result is an unpredictable, but instantly addictive push-and-pull that keeps the listener locked in from start to finish.
The accompanying video expands on this world, set during a fictional “last summer” in California in 1981, unfolding in a quiet, picturesque small-town setting. Starring content creator Ari Kytsya alongside Elly Clutch, Jak Knife, recording artist Niko Slim, and Susan, the cast appears as part of a close-knit group of friends at the center of the plot. What begins as a carefree summer getaway gradually shifts in tone, introducing darker, suspense-driven elements that build alongside Yung Gravy’s performance of “HBO.” Drawing inspiration from cult classic horror films like Friday the 13th, Motel Hell, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the visual is structured like a short film, blending nostalgic imagery with moments of tension that unfold right through until the end.

“HBO is the first single off my new album, setting the tone for the next Gravyverse installment was important,” said Gravy. “I wanted to make a movie for the fans. What feels like a seventies summer vacation slowly turns sinister and sucks you in like any true cult horror classic.”

The release of “HBO” comes off the heels of his recent Voluptuous Voyage Tour which brought fans to their feet with more than 10 sold out shows across North America. The tour included the second annual Gravy Fest, a homecoming concert featuring guest performers such as Pouya, 1900Rugrat, Pertinence, and Melly Mike. In October, Gravy took on his first voice acting role, playing Golem in the video game Dispatch. Building on 10 gold and 4 platinum records, this new release signals that for Yung Gravy, the party is just getting started.
