How long have you been with Live in Limbo and what do you do for the site?

For 2 years, I am a Music Writer, Editor, and Columnist.

A Deeper Understanding – The War on Drugs

What was the most underrated album of 2017?

What/who was the biggest musical disappointment (live or album) for you?

Jake Bugg

 

What band did you see live for the first time that really impressed you?

Foster the People

 

What was your favourite new musical discovery of 2017?

Brockhampton

 

Who were you disappointed to miss seeing live this year?

The National, Testpilot, Frank Ocean, Cage the Elephant.

 

Who should we be looking out for in 2018?

Alessia Cara, Brockhampton,

 

Who’s going to be headlining (or at least playing) all the 2018 festivals?

The War on Drugs

 

What was your favourite review, photo set or interview you did for LiL this year?

I honestly had such a blast with Local Natives. What a treat.

 

This year the Horseshoe Tavern celebrated its 70th birthday, do you have a fond memory or favourite all time show from the club?

Definitely Tommy Youngsteen! Loved the mix of the old and the young, and the show went on all night long. It was a special night filled with amazing Canadian talent, and people.

 

In your opinion, what was the biggest music story?

Oh geez.. Probably the death of Chester Bennington.

 

Is there anything else you want to say about 2017 or predict about 2018?

If I had to say anything, I hope the Chainsmoker effect dies down. Let’s just ride the wave.
