Sabres defeat New York Islanders in Oshawa

The NHL and the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders played a pre-season game at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa and the Sabres came out on top 5-4 after a thrilling 2nd period saw them score 4 goals to take a lead they would never give up.

The NHL season starts next week and Maple Leaf nation is more than excited about the trade for John Tavares. The Leafs chances this season have risen quite a bit because of their new acquisition.
