Parachute kicked off with “White Dress” – a solid opener. The small crowd was feeling the great energy as the band performed other up-tempo songs such as “She (for Liz)”, “Halfway”, and “Back Again”. They played every track off of The Way It Was except for “Philadelphia”, “You and Me” as well as “Forever and Always”. Although the audience showed admiration for the band’s newer material but songs like “She Is Love” and “Under Control” are still fan favourites.
Parachute delivered a good show that sounded even better live than on record. These guys are a talented bunch. From their funky instrumentals to their heart-warming ballads to even their crazy antics, this five piece ensemble has more potential then any boy-band we’ve seen thus far. Before ending their set with hit single “Something to Believe In”, Anderson announced they’ll be back in October. Save the date.

Fans of the Virginia based rock band were delighted when the group announced their return to Toronto after a year and half absence. Parachute was ready to showcase songs from their second record, titled The Way It Was. And most of all give their Canadian fans a night to remember.
Opening was Canadian folk -rock band, Michou. It was nice start to evening as the band played a variety of songs including some from their most recent EP, Celebrate Love. They took a moment to dedicate one of their songs to good friends, USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker) who was also in attendance.
