Bad Rabbits at Tattoo Queen West

Boston band, Bad Rabbits played Tattoo on Wednesday to a full room of wide range Torontonians.

Currently, they’re Boston’s best kept secret that deserves to be shared with the rest of the world.  Having just ending their leg on Warped Tour, the five piece band were back in the GTA with full energy.  Starting out in 2009, Bad Rabbits have been what seems like touring forever.  They’ve graced our city many-a-times, opening up for Mike Posner, Foxy Shazam, and Travie McCoy, as well as two years on Warped Tour.  They tend to be known for winning over every new audience they get the chance to play in front of.

Their set was made up of a mixture from both albums “Stick Up Kids” and “American Love”, plus a cover of The Dream’s “Walking On The Moon”.  You couldn’t help but bust a move with the guys as they charmed the crowd with old school moves while playing.  As well, they definitely got their cardio in thanks to the nonstop dancing and/or jumping to each song while lead singer Dua Boakye worked the room full of young and old fans.  BR’s specialty is that they’re a well oiled machine at this point and know how to keep the up the energy while sounding super solid during their set.

The encore included a mosh pit happening, Boakye jumping down into the crowd and a steller closure that the room did not want to end.

You can catch Bad Rabbits back in Toronto on October 14th at the Phoenix.  “Dusted”, the latest EP from Bad Rabbits is available through their Facebook page.
