Yes, I know this track is about a month old now, but I thought it was now or never. And so, “STILLBIRTH” by Alice Glass is our Song of the Day.
I’m a big fan of Crystal Castles and was devastated by her departure last year. We even made a tribute on them. Any who, I was delighted when Alice uploaded this new track for our ears on Soundcloud.
It’s heavy and fast-paced. There is a lot of voice effects and abstract sounds. This is very Crystal Castlely, but also quite different. Her vocals are a lot more audible and easier on the ears which should cater to a broader audience for her upcoming album.
“Abuse isn’t always obvious and it doesn’t have to involve black eyes, blood and broken bones,” she wrote in a memo on her website.
