The Best Of Sarah Rix, And Thank You

Sarah Rix is one of the most passionate and dedicated people in Toronto when it comes to music. Four years ago, she joined our team when our director of photography Randall befriended her through our pal Kayley -“I have the perfect person for you…” Ever since, she’s been one of our best writers and photographers. It’s truly rare to meet someone who is exceptionally gifted in both writing and photography! She quickly moved up to being our Senior photographer. For the past year, Sarah has been our Music Editor. She took us to new heights and reputation in the scene. She’s had a significant impact on all members of our team whether new or veteran. None of which will ever be forgotten. However, the hands of time turn and things change.

Thus, it is with mixed feelings that I announce Sarah will be leaving her role as Music Editor at Live in Limbo beginning Jan 1, 2016.

She is moving into a new chapter of her life and onto new exciting adventures. I’m sure if you look really hard, you’ll find her at a concert here and there. She may even pop back up on LiL once in a blue moon. And her passion is baked into LiL’s DNA forever.

Here is an interview I did with Sarah. I think all journalists new and seasoned will learn a thing or two from it.

While it is incredibly sad news that a very important member of our ranks is leaving, we are fortunate to have an incredible team that will try and fill some very significant roles. 

Dakota Arsenault (formerly associate editor) will now be our acting Music Editor. Dawn Hamilton will be our Digital Producer, who is working on some special projects in the new year. As this chapter of the book comes to an end, a new exciting one begins.
