Song Premiere : “Anarchy” by Kieran Mercer

From the Artist : “I’m really excited to kick off my next chapter with Anarchy. I feel its the perfect introduction to the new direction i’m heading in with these songs. The lyrics really speak to what’s happening in the world today so I feel people won’t have a hard time connecting to it.”

Kieran has been in the Canadian music scene for years opening for acts like Carly Rae Jepsen, Lights, and Marianas Trench. Over the last year, Kieran has been working with producers Stephen “Koz” Kozmeniuk (Dua Lipa) and Michael Wise (Serena Ryder) to put together a 4 song EP, Fools Gold, which is due out later this year. It brings to mind Kieran’s vintage influences with modern production. Touches of Maroon 5’s funk, lead by a swinging Prince inspired guitar lick, propel the song right out of the gate. Infectious but never cloying, Mercer’s personality and range is on full display. ‘Anarchy’ has a chorus that will worm its way into your brain, irresistible and instantly replayable.

Although his demeanour is soft, Kieran Mercer is about to burst with musical vigor. He’s ready to develop a wider audience and doesn’t question any of the moves that got him to where he is now. “I have confidence in my music and feel like it’s only a matter of time until people see what I can really do. I hope people see how much homework I put into my sound to make it the best it can be. I’m really trying to give people pop
