Panic! At The Disco at Scotiabank Arena

In 2015 after a few lineup changes along the way, Panic! At The Disco announced that Spencer Smith was also leaving the band to pursue other projects. This meant that vocalist Brandon Urie was the last original member standing. If you’ve ever had the chance to see Panic! live, you’d be fully aware of Urie’s stage presence. He’s one of those performers who absolutely dominates the stage and has a way of making sure that no matter where you are in the venue, you’re being entertained and kept on your toes throughout the whole night. With that said, one can only begin to imagine how eager fans were to see what Urie had up his sleeve for the band’s Pray For The Wicked Tour when it hit the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

Opening up the night with ‘(Fuck A) Silver Lining’, Urie appeared right at the tip of the Panic! Logo shaped stage as fans cheered. That’s really all it took for the Scotiabank Arena to fall under his spell. Throughout the night, Urie proved that he truly is a well rounded performer. If he wasn’t running around the arena singing to the fans to bring them closer to the experience, he was seen performing various instruments from guitars, drums, and even a piano that flew above the crowd so that everyone had a good view. During ‘Girls/Girls/Boys’, the audience held up milti-coloured paper hearts with their cellphones, which lit up the arena as Hayley Kiyoko came out to perform the song with Urie.

Closing out the night, the band performed fan favourite ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ before leaving the stage with a bang as sparklers went off as they performed ‘Victorious’. If you were ever worried about what Panic! would be like with only Brandon Urie left standing, rest assured he’s still a force not to be messed with and is shining even brighter than before.
