Video Premiere: “Last Summer” – D.O. Gibson feat Angela Saini

Brampton-Based hip-hop artist and two-time Guinness World Record-setting rapper Duane “D.O.” Gibson, is excited to release his new single and accompanying music video for “Last Summer” on June 27th (Believe) and we’ve teamed up with him to give our readers an exclusive first look at the video before it’s official release!

With its folk-pop sensibility and nostalgic vibe, “Last Summer” features Angela Saini and serves as a heartfelt reminder to live fully before the moment becomes a memory. Directed by Sean Caesar (Frame Five Media), the music video beautifully captures the fleeting magic of warm-weather moments—showcasing candid scenes of backyard BBQs, late-night laughs, and time spent with close family and friends.

A Guinness World Record-setting rapper, author, and speaker, D.O. has performed over 3,500 school shows worldwide through his Stay Driven program. Known for his powerful messages on perseverance and anti-bullying, he’s hit #1 on U.S. College Hip-Hop Radio, toured globally, and released an illustrated children’s book and album in 2024. Named one of Shifter Magazine’s Top 20 Outstanding Black Canadians, he completed 155 performances across Canada in 2025.

“We shot the video for Last Summer right in my backyard. I wanted to capture that feeling of being in nature, surrounded by a close circle of family and friends. Honestly, we were having such a good time BBQing and hanging out, we almost forgot we were filming a music video! I’m just grateful the sun came out. We shot it over the May 2-4 weekend — right at the end of spring — to set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an unforgettable summer” says D.O. Gibson.
