Concert Photos: Forever The Sickest Kids @ The Phoenix

They recently released their self-titled album, which was the follow up to their debut ‘Underdog Alma Mater’, and they played a good mix of new and old songs. Their lead singer Jonathan Cook, has a way of just putting a smile on everyone’s face, even if you’ve never heard of them before. He’ll bounce all over the stage get the fans involved as much as possible, and start circle pits to their catchiest songs that can’t help but make you dance. Their bassist Austin Bello, and guitarist Caleb Turman, also enjoys making funny faces and posing for the photographers throughout the set. This was great as it got everyone ready to party it up with Good Charlotte. The stage set up consisted of the famous ‘FTSK’ mic stand, and a backdrop designed by their drummer Kyle Burns, who also designs most of their merch & headlining tour posters.  It is great to see how hands on these guys really are, from interacting with the crowd all the way down to details of their backdrops and merch.

Forever The Sickest Kids opened up for Good Charlotte on Friday at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. If you aren’t already familiar with the band, they are five guys from Dallas, Texas with an upbeat sound that makes everyone in the room want to dance. It was interesting to see them play, as this is their first tour since the departure of their keyboardist Kent Garrison.
