Somewhat reluctantly, as it appeared they have started to get a little tired of playing it night in, night out. They still gave it everything once it got going, knowing that’s part of the game when touring on the back of a new album. There was a good mix of material from earlier works though. Always better than coming out and just playing the new stuff front to back.

O’Brother surprised by coming out and being in the early spot. Followed on by Aussie duo, An Horse performing their last gig with this tour. Both bands put on great sets attributing, at least some, of their energy to the exuberant crowd.
By 10:30 the Mod was heaving, and it swelled as Manchester Orchestra came to the hardwood stage. We were all graced with a rendition of the Canadian National Anthem, started solely by front man Andy Hull (back up vocals by the crowd). That seemed to set the mood for a show that saw plenty more singing along. There was one awkward moment, at least for a few. During a quieter point the lyrics turned into a bit of improv to let a small group of over excited youth know that “This isn’t warped tour…..stop f*cking moshing”
