Tebey at CNE

Lets Go To The EX There’s many reason to go down the Canadian National Exhibition this year, Midway, Super Dog show, Zip lining, rising star talent competition, ribfest, The food building and now Country Music.  It’s Been 10 years since country music was at the CNE band shall, I know it won’t be another ten  before its back again.

KX 94.7 presents Tebey and Gord Bamford this year at CNE bandshall. The place was packed, Tebey kicked off Country Night at the CNE with only a 30 min set, The crowd clapped and cheered when he reminded us that he’s a local boy from Peterborough growing up in Burlington but now makes his home in Nashville. Tebey did sign as many autograph as he was allowed before Gord Bamford hit the stage at approx. 8:30.

What’s interesting about Tebey, he just not a country music artist, Tebey is a multi-genre songwriter  with multi  radio hits including his CCMA nominated “Somewhere in the Country” He also had three #1 singles and his songs have appeared on albums with sales in excess of 15 million worldwide. Tebey wrote for his good friends Emerson Drive, Big and Rich, Doc Walker, Shawn Desmen, Cher and “Loved You First” by One Direction thats certified 6 million worldwide sales.

He brought his regular merchandise, new T-shirts that was a designed in a contest , Both CD, Coolies and 8X10 to sign.  Tebey being at the Ex, there was no limit on what he would sign, hats, cowboy boots, stuff animals from the midway and even backs of Cell phone. If you just wanted to come up and say hello he welcomes that too. A few people had their first experience listening Tebey last night I heard things like, good job, great stuff and glade I came out tonight.

If you didn’t get a chance to see Tebey at the CNE this time around, no worry’s he still has a few more dates this Summer in Ontario, August 30, Powassan Ontario, September 5 Orono County Fair, September 13 Spencerville Fair w/ Dallas Smith and back to St. Catharines September 28th, for the Niagara Wine Festival before Tebey heads back down to Nashville.
