Gord Bamford at CNE

Gord Bamford made a brief stop in Toronto this past weekend bring Country Junkies and tour to the 136th Canadian National Exhibition. It’s been over ten years since a country artist hit the band shall and to have the talented Tebey and Mr. Bamford on the same stage for a free concert was amazing. Gord played for hour and twenty minutes but with all his hits he could play for hours.

Gord was joking around with the Stage manager say saying he was trying to take his guitar and take over the concert. He said no!no! but Gord gave it to him and sat down and said Play!.  He killed Waylon Jennings Good Ol’ Boys’ (Theme From ‘The Dukes Of Hazards’) Gord’s Comment was ”I  guess that backfired”

Gord Bamford said he loves the Blue Jays so before heading back to Alberta we will be catching a Jays game. If I remember correctly the Jays lost in extra innings, But we won’t hold that against him! Just after the concert started Gord saw a few children standing in front with what he thought was a sign, so he said “stay there will be doing something a little later on with them. The Kids where really excited. After part way through the show Gord begins to tell a story about the kids standing in the front row He saw there tweet and thought  they made him a sign, it turned out to be a book, a book about himself. He invited the five children  up on stage to get a better look at this book, He signed the book for them  and then poses with the children for a photo. He was telling the kids that there “Rock Stars” now so they have to go to the other side of the stage to pose.

We know Gord all about the children so he sang “My Little guy”  for the boys in group, Gord notices a girl in the stand crying and upset because her sister was up on stage. He told her to come up and she gave him a Hugh Hug! That audience just melted,  made her feel good up there  being with her sister. The next he sang was “My daughter father” A song  Gord Bamford Made for his own Daughter  and deadicated it to the two girls.

For the past seven Years Gord Bamford has a Charity fundraiser golf tournament in his home town in  Alberta Were this year it set a record $503,000. This Country music star receives Overwhelming support from fellow artist and Sony Music.
