One More Girl, The Stellas at Norfolk Fair

What does, Bull riding, music and a little fire all have in common?   Can you say Party on the Track” featuring One More Girl and The Stellas?

The festivities began at 6:30 p.m with the track seat ticket holders having exclusive access to start the party. There was a cash bar offering local beer and coolers before the show and through intermission other festivities to entertain the fans was Bull riding and a fire artist!

I had the chance to chat with Norfolk Fair president Percy McNabb. He was pleased with this year’s attendance for the entertainment, giving that on Tuesday CMAO rising star Jordan McIntosh played his full set in the rain. True fans of Jordan stayed with him right to the end!

The Stellas warmed the crowd up with some of their older tunes from previous albums and of course their new single”Gravy” which they got the crowd to sing along with.  They sang a cover of The Who’s, “Won’t Get Fooled Again” after Brad told a story of over 15 years when he met MaryLynne he had long black hair that could be tucked into his belt and he drove a Trans Am. The present, shorter hair; the cars gone and they have two beautiful girls that star on the hit TV Show Nashville

After a brief Intermission and a few more Cowboys getting bucked off the bull, One More Girl, but really are two, came out and put on an EPIC Show for the fans!  I was excited to hear the girls were booked at this year’s fair only because they harmonize together so well,   It’s like no other sound I have heard before! The girls grew up in the 90’s so they did a melody of some popular tunes. Having two parents growing up in the music world, the girls played a few older tunes of Patsy Cline and EmmyLou Harris. One song that their father would never let them sing but now Britt 23 and Carly 25 are now able sing “Back in the Saddle Baby”

If you think you’ve seen or heard the girls before , you might have as Britt has been in a ton of movie projects, played two seasons of the critically acclaimed series ‘ Dead Like Me and voiced dozens of cartoon characters including Blue Berry Muffin in Strawberry Shortcake’ and Princess Cadence in ‘My Little Pony’.

Carly, Had a recurring role on ABC’s ‘Life As We Know It.’ The girls always seem to balance the film and music world with ease.

That is One More Girl that is really two!
