We are so excited to have a first for the website, a full album release! Limestone Chorus is a relatively new band hailing from Niagara and Toronto. Their self described “Indie Folksoul” style is the perfect music for the summer. Their album comes out on July 29th on IndoorShoes Music. The band is having an album release party at Burdock in Toronto on August 6th and you can buy tickets HERE.
Limestone Chorus’ debut album, ‘Deer Friends’, is rooted in the merging of two themes, a love for Mother Nature and a love for human connection. It is these themes that flow from one song to the next, celebrating the interweaving of nature, love, friendship, moments, and memory. The instrumental styling contributes to the optimism of the lyrics through its consonant tones and toe-tapping rhythms, while the unity of voices present in each song highlights the communal intent of the lyrics and the brotherly nature of the group.
